all 2006 2is do not come with shark fin !!! i am very sure of that. can't you just take yours off? it is basically screwed on, so by turning it, you should be able to take it off right?

and yes,,I can take it off,,but the problem is that ours is not 3M taped
there will be a hole that I'll have to fill in,,and that's just PIA and not worth to do IMO
but I know I have some alternatives
well i heard it should be pretty easy to fill it up. cuz my friend planning to take off his front license plate, so he will have 2 holes in the front also. so, he told me there is some sort of construction stuff thats kind of like "grease or foam', you can just fill up the hole and then use touch up paint to cover it up. not sure if the touch up paint will blend in when your regular paint though....
How did you figure out where to mount the shark fin?
I also hate mine.
The fin should be placed immediately upstream of the flow separation point, which on the 2IS is about 4 inches up from the top of the rear window as Lexus has done. I was actually doing some research about possibly adding some vortex generators (which the shark fin functions as) to my car, but due to aesthetic reasons I decided against it. Pretty good articles here about them.
and is it the angle at which the picture was taken at that makes the sharkfin LOOK off-center, or is the sharkfin actually off-center in that last pic?
