I love my shark fin

Dealer threw in Sirius when I got the car but it had this fugly antenna that mounted next to the rear view mirror. Bought the Vaistech adapter (because the antenna in the fin is for XM) and my reception drastically improved.

that is actually the factory lexus antenna( shark fin), bmw ones are actually a bit longer and fatter.

to BounceNY: well if you get the antenna straight from lexus it will cost you around 180 dollars. however i had some lexus dealers on ebay offering me around 120 - 130 for an antenna.

i have an 06 so no sharkfin on mine. i like the sharkfin. my car looks balf without it lol. but i dont think it is a mod i want to do unless the price is right. what is the price to get one?

2006 IS' don't come with working sharkfins. I don't have one on my car either, and the roof is untampered with.

You can easily find real ones on eBay, or you can buy a fake one from someplace like this:

I have an '06 and I bought a real one and drilled a hole in my roof to install it and run a wire to connect to it. It looks completely factory now you'd never guess I have an '06 by looking at it.
