Default My Antenna "Shark fin" installation! some pix

So i got an antenna for my 2is for my birthday, it has been sitting in my car for months !! and finally today i took the time to put it on. since i don't want to drill a hole on top of my car, so i am just going to stick it on.

ever wonder what does the inside of your antenna looks like?

1.so heres is the Antenna i got

2.here is how the bottom of the antenna looks like

3. took the antenna apart and here is the other side of the metal part from number 2

4. here is what the inside of the plastic antenna looks like without all the electronics

5. seperated the antenna into 3 parts

6.so once i think i found the right spot on the car , i made a shape of the antenna with tapes( measurement i did on my friend's 2is was approximately height 3.6in and width 19.6in)

7.then i put some 3m tapes on the back, had to cut the 3m tape for better fitment. becareful, this part i sort of cut into the paint a bit, so there are small cuts on the side of my antenna now.

8.and whoala !!!

another pix!

and my noobish antenna installation is done ! it is not perfect, slightly crooked... but it was my first try! and whats that white stuff..??

let me get this right... you added a non-functioning sharkfin antenna to a 2006 2is?

as a MY2006 owner, i like that my roof does NOT have the sharkfin antenna. that's just my opinion.

at the end of the day, to each his own.

only MY 2006 2is's do NOT have the sharkfin antenna from the factory. it's basically a sign of "OG-ness."

btw, is it just me, or does it seem like the sharkfin antenna isn't mounted along the center line of the car?...

How did you figure out where to mount the shark fin?

I also hate mine.

well i did a measurement on my friend's 09 2is, so that gave me a better idea where to mount it. if you hate yours, so you want to take it off?
