Default Any TSIB for Subwoofer panel rattles?

When listening music with bass level higher than +2, the subwoofer panel (in manual it is called PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL) rattles.

Is there any TSIB available for that problem?

I am also interested in this. I recently purchased an '06 IS350 with ML and when I brought it into the dealership to diagnose the rattle they claimed that it was normal for ML systems.

I then asked if they could do anything to hold the panel down, but they refused and said that it would becomes loose again over time. Kind of frustrating.

I too have this problem, my dealer JM Lexus in South Florida said it is am inherent flaw and there is no fix, gotta just live with it. Sucks for a $40K+ car.....

i took out the rear deck and removed the trunk liners in the rear to try and pin point the rattle (while i was installing new subs). and i came to the determination there isn't anything u can do about it, besides maybe dynomat. because it looks like metal was tack welded to metal at certain locations. and i believe that those spots are causing the rattling.... not positive though.

Our local dealer are gluing the panel around with windshield gasket... This helps slightly (before that the panel rattles with sub +3, now with sub +5).

Piece of Sh!#@$#@$#!! (Oh did I say that out loud?) LOL
Yea my 09 is doing that as well.. I thought there was a TSIB for this. If it's any consellation, my GF's Acura TL has the same issue. Acura does have a bulletin on it but they cant seem to fix it right either!!

The cost cutting in these cars is UNBELIEVEABLE!! The amount of rattles in a $40k car is unacceptable, and Lexus should be addressing these issues.

My wife drives a friggin Chrysler and it's rattle free - not so much as a squeak in that car. Toyota has been cost cutting for a few years now, and it's going to start costing them sales.

I brought the 2IS into another dealership to perform the TSB for the AUX/Power feedback with MP3 players. While I was there I told them to take a look (or listen) to the subwoofer because of the rattle.

A couple of hours later they replaced my sub and now the car sounds fine! They claimed that I had the bass "all the way up" even though I KNEW it was at +4. I understand this is a bit high, but for the amount I paid for the car, I don't expect them to blow that easily.

its a simple fix. there's probably some debris in there or a loose screw causing the rattle. its a simple fix you can do yourself.

I have my IS in at Lexus this morning for another problem, but I asked about the package tray rattle and they told me "Well let's address the other issue first and then we'll see about the package tray".
Ugh, the worst part is the IS they gave me for a loaner doesnt rattle at all, nor does it have the clunk noise I'm getting in mine when I steer around a turn to the right. I made sure I called the service desk on my way to work to tell him the loaner doesnt clunk! I may take Chris250's suggestion and take a look at the rear panel myself over the weekend.
