New Windshield
Hey Guys,
So today on the way home, the IS got a crack in my driving view from a flying rock. It took some haggling with my insurance company, but I guess the glass company that is AUTH by Lexus of America is Novus down here in Florida.
I was about to accept a PPG windshield from the insurance co. until the person from Novus on 3way asked me if I had the rain sensor. As I said I had it, the rep from Novus locally here said "we will only install OEM Lexus branded glass since the car has the factory warranty left on it,and Lexus voids the rain sensor if aftermarket glass is on the car." Dunno why, but it worked out. So the insurance rep AUTH a new glass from Lexus, at no charge to me. Phew, the call started out saying I would have to pay $800 outta pocket.
So now I just hope they do a good job installing.
