$100 deductible.. insurance paid rest. and it was not cheap, because the frame was messed up, as well as scratches on the door, the body shop ended up repainting the whole right top side of the car because according to them, it's Glacier Frost Mica, ie hard to match. i'll take his word for it as i've been going to this guy for over 15 years.. everytime i see him, he goes "what happened this time?" 
. the police never did get back to me.. all this for a $50 strap on baby carrier. stupid. at least make it worth while, my neighbor's jeep cherokee was broken into for some $3000 worth of FBI material/equipment. i wonder if that was ever traced

mine was broken in with only 7000 miles.. but they pry'd the window broken, left gigantic gouges on the door frame. window fragments left scars on the passenger front seat. and no, alarm didn't go off. didn't know it until some 7 yr old kids were all looking inside in awe the next morning. cop was just sitting in my neighborhood cuz he was already responding to another broken window incident.
anyway, see what your insurance says. usually, it's comprehensive deduction, theft coverage, probably around $100... most don't jack up the price due to theft. double check.

of course, if u go with repairing it yourself, then yes, it'll cost 330 labor and 330 part from lexus

yes. go ask your insurance company what your comprehensive/theft insurance is. it is not the collision part of your insurance. also be sure to ask if your rates will go up if you do file a comprehensive/theft claim.
