Rattle in passenger side dash?
Does anyone have any info on the rattleing in the passenger side dash area? I'm not talking about the glove box cabin filter rattle. This starts and gradually gets worse the longer you drive the car. It sounds like it's inside the dash, behind the air bag.

Try the search button next time, this has been discussed numerous times.
There is a TSB for that. Or do what I did and stuff a piece of black hose in between the dash and the windshield.

i got my car checked out at the lexus dealer and they performed a TSIB with this dash rattle. They insulated the clips or screw with some teflon material. apparently, after driving it for several days , the rattle came back, its annoying but i've learned to live with it. Plus when they take out your dashboard, they're not going to put it in correctly, I've noticed some gaps between my stereo and the dash.

I have the same exact problem! I'm dropping off the car to the dealer tomorrow to check out this rattle issue and some other things. Once I get the car back I'll post about it.

I have a similar problem. It seems to be coming from the glove box area -- maybe the glove box door itself -- and gets worse after the car has been driven for 10-15 minutes. The last time I took the car to the dealer, they couldn't find anything wrong. I'm going to try again soon. Any advice would be appreciated.

I took my car to the dealer and they replaced the driver's side door panel because of rattling I would hear at idle speed. they didn't fix the rattling noise I hear above the glove box on the dash. I have to make another appointment. so far the driver's side is fine.

You may want to save yourself the trouble. It's a defect that Toyota either doesn't know how to resolve or they're simply ignoring it. The rattle will come back after they pull apart your dash so, it's probably not worth the trip to the dealer.
If it were one of the high volume units like, let's say a Camry, they would probably take the problem more seriously so, sadly, "it is what it is".
