Yeah, I used the light gray colored Scotch-Brite industrial pad (can get it online or at a local body shop), then jacked up my car, put the car in drive so the wheels would spin... then I held the pad to the lips of the car to get a uniform 'brushed' look. Just enough to take away the bling mirror look.
