MOTHER F-ING BLAH. i went to get my tires rotated today thinking the front and rears are all the same size.
Fail me. 225 in the front, 245's in the back. Does anyone know if the wheels themselves are the same size? I think when i get new tires i'm getting 225s or 245s all around.

Are these factory wheels? If so, which model wheel? I drive a staggered 18" factory-spec set up (8" wheels with 225 tires up front and 8.5" wheels with 255 tires in back). Most IS350s are staggered, typically not so on IS250s unless ordered. I believe you can just remove a wheel (one front and one rear) and check, it should be stamped/printed 8 or 8.5...

Standard wheel on all ISx50 models is 17x8 on all 4 wheels.
However, the non-AWD models (250 AND 350) get 225 tires front and 245 rear (on those same 17x8 wheels).
Optionally non-AWD cars can come equipped with 18x8 front and 18x8.5 wheels that come with 225 front and 255 rear tires.
Hope that clarifies.

yes it does. Thanks a lot Kurtz.
I just got worried because my fronts are getting worn down by my enthusiastic approach to circular freeway off-ramps

You should keep your staggered setup. If you really want to rotate your tires, you will have to have the shop dismount the tire and put it the other way on the rim. This is what I have done on my F... the guys at my local Costco do it for me for $24, but it takes an hour and a half because they don't want to pay me a new set of stock F wheels, haha.
Be careful to put the same rim back at the same place, though. And your rear tires will always wear faster than your fronts, regardless of how the power is delivered to the floor.

staggered setup might be nice if I didn't buy this car to be a commuter car. Unfortunately it is. That means no rims, no special toys added to the car. Just a bare bones stock IS250. Kinda sucks, but it serves its purpose.
Anyone out there who went non-staggered? How did it affect your handling/traction control? Did it change a lot?

Apparently it was, otherwise I would've have even started this thread...![Confused](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
When I bought this car, I didn't pour over every little feature and spec about this car. Like i've said, it was to be a commuter car, not a primary car. That means no rims, no bodykits, no mods. I only worry about what will directly affect my commute which means that annoying vibration in my rear view mirror (which was fixed).

Why did you bother replying if you had nothing good to add?? if you had nothing constructive to say, you didn't have to join in. Even fisforfast who knows we don't see eye to eye had something useful to say.
Clearly you bought an IS for a different reason than why I bought one. You bought an ISF so you apparently gave a damn about handling. If i wanted a go fast car with excellent handling I would've bought a porsche. I bought this car to be a reliable luxury commuter car with good mileage so why would i even look out for a staggered setup?
Either way, back on track, anyone with a 2wd IS go non-staggered?
