Default tint

What do you guys think about limo tint back 3 and 30% front windows. I'm not sure if I should go with 90% instead.

I'm signed up for some kind of tint I haven't heard of before (neo?) That dramatically reduces heat. Anyone heard of it?

20 all around =) Personally for me having the rear darker than the front isnt a good match. I haven't heard of Neo, I've heard of Johnson's, 3M, and suntek.

I agree but be careful cops in cali are crackin down on tint...I got a fix-it-ticket..Now the tint is only on the back, I am gonna risk it again but put a lighter tint on the front..Won't look as good but a little is better than nothing..

I don't like the look of various tint %'s on different windows. I want the same tint level on all windows (except windshield of course). So I use 35% tint on all side and rear windows. Never had a fix-it ticket.

I have 20% on my rear and nothing on the front. I just don't like risking fix it tickets. Just make sure the tint you get is the one you want or else you will be spending extra money switching the tint like me with my previous car.

it also depends on the interior. with the alpine interior, you could probably get away with a darker tint. personally, i have 5% rears and 23% in the fronts. in cali especially, cops will stop at nothing to get some extra tickets written. fix it tickets are a pain to deal with, so be careful. some of us, myself included, will walk that fine line and sometimes even cross it. a dumb rule like not having the front windows tinted certainly will not stop me from tinting them, but it does make me wanna test how far i can "bend" the guidelines.

Now that you mentioned it, I have beige and black interior and it does make my tints appear a little lighter than they are.

brw - It helps to have a family member/police officer that is willing to sign off this kind of petty fix-it ticket, just in case.

I've got 35% on the fronts (and all around) with no problems, has anybody been cited for 35%?

Dude if you do have a cop friend then your good..But if a cop wants to pull you over it doesn't matter if you have the lightest tint..It's any tint on the front windows ANY...1%-99%

15% tint all around here. In my opinion, I would have my tint matching. If your worried about cops then drive with the windows down like me

In 10 years never been cited for tint (at 35% on fronts).

Yes, the purpose is to have him sign-off on any fix-it ticket to avoid paying the big fine and/or removing the front window tint.

hmmm, time to get closer to friends who are going to school to become cops.

maybe I should become a cop just so I can overturn any VI possible.

like loud harley-like exhausts, 1000000000k hid bulbs in reflectors, 5% tints on ALL windows. studded winter tires with chains on top. smoke all my reflectors, remove all my bulbs turn off my DRLs, no front plates, block my rear plate. shave my side mirrors off.
