How badly was your headlight output affected?

Sorry, I'm not a fan of tinted headlights - looks cheap. Blacking-out headlights looks so much better.

Jesus, tinting your headlight lense is about the most retarded thing you can do. Black out the housing, that way you don't lose output. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICER.

I'd have to agree, with a slightly more reserved opinion. It is difficult enough as it is to see a car's taillights braking in front of you when they are tinted. Imagine that on a headlight. You can easily reduce the output of an HID bulb to that of a halogen bulb with highly tinted headlights. Safety first...

Having said that, the car that Rashoodz posted looks great. Still, painting the housing black is preferable to tinting the entire lens. Sorry to go off topic on this thread :x

lighting output does not seem that bad. i like the whole painting the inside housing, but i do not want to f*** anything up and have my headlights condense on me. personally i like it. i had mine sprayed by a buddy at the body shop my dad works at while it was being fixed

no need to bash other people's like's and dislike, to each there own.

No, there is a time when "aesthetics" (if you can call it that) get in the way of safety, and in my opinion, a concern should be raised. It doesn't even look good, because you've got a cheesey tint over a chrome-backed housing. Looks stupid. And WHY would you want to sacrifice lighting output by purposefully doing something like that? Not only are you increasing your chances of not seeing something, you're making it harder for other drivers on the road to have situational awareness as to where you are.

Dumb mod is dumb, no matter how much you wanna say "to each their own."

i can still see the road perfectly fine with mine tinted. there are no safety concerns on what i am running. i hop in other cars that have halogen instead of HID and i can see less of the road than in my car.

Wow look at this hater lol .. Its not that bad actually mine was tinted but LIGHTLY , my output was pretty much the same as it is now that my housings are blacked out
There is NO safty issue ppl can see your head lights fine. even ur drl with a stock bulb will show thru it , unless u drive around at night with ur head lights off then u have a safty issue , once ur low beams are turned on u can see them 100% fine

No need to be a douche about it , if u don't like it move onto another thread. U don't need to bash this guy. ,
And yes to each their own , if he's happy its all that matters
