Default new member here

sup everyone. im a new member here and have been reading up a lot on older posts. learned a lot and figure its time to say wassup to everyone here.
i recently purchased a used 2006 is250 awd with NAV in crystal white. bone stock with 81,000 miles. crazy miles eh? i use to drive a honda s2000 and figure id go with something more luxury and switch to automatic for a little while.

as for the car, i changed oil and changed all brake pads. car doesnt seem to have any problems and runs real smooth. i guess lexus is what it is..lol
i told myself i wont be doing any mods to this car and try to keep it as stock as possible.

however its kinda hard to resist but here are some of my plans:

1. car is white so ill be tinting around 30% all around (im from nyc so i tihnk they are kinda strict here. or should i go for 20-25% since my car is white?)

2. i already purchased luminics yellow fog bulbs. gonna change it up and see how i like it. if not, id go with the HID route.

3, Gonna do the NAV hack with the overrides but unforunately, i have the 6,1 firmware so the destinattion search override wont work. i hear i need to make a hybrid CD?

4. My car doesnt come with stock HID lights. the original owner bought a car with a NAV..why cant he get the HIDs too?!!! I will probably slap on the H11 conversion kit with 6000k

5. I am not sure if I should lower the car. the wheel fender gap is CRAZY BIG!
ive been doing a lot of searches but i get mixed answers regarding springs. since its awd, some people say the tein stech springs wont be good, but others say its ok. i also hear people experience vibrations after install? so which springs should i get if i was to lower? i dont want too much of a drop.

6. if i dont drop my car, im thinking of geting the gfx kit. would it look good on the car if my car is not dropped? anyone have pictures?

7. i will not do anything to exhaust or intake. just gonna keep it stock.

anyway. thanks for reading and i hope to learn more and contribute also here at CL.

Here's my car, stock 17, stock height, and GFX kit. But I don't have the IS250 AWD, i have the IS300 RWD (Middle east spec), which I think they have different heights? I'm not sure.

Old pics here, here, here, and here.

your car looks pretty hot. the height doesnt look bad at all. but i think AWD may be a little higher in height than the RWD

He introduce him self here. And then he told us what he was planning on doing on his car. But he happened to have some new questions since he is new to this forum.

go w/ BC Racing coilovers... spend it.. and you won't regret... the alternative is road magnets... almost no companies make AWD Springs i think road magnets do...

i do have a Five axis lip for sale =) hahah

mods so far:

20% SunGard Tints All around
Luminics JDM Yellow Fog Bulbs (looks decent, might go HID route if I get bored)

I'll try to snap a few pictures tomorrow since its raining and dark out here in new york.

Next mod: Nav hack? Springs?

I been reading old threads where people dropped their AWD cars with tein stech springs.
others say it is only for rwd. can someone confirm whether or not you can drop an AWD car with tein s? They seem to give a decent drop but not too aggresive and at stock level comfort.
