Amazon - SimpleSoft LLC
So amazon.com has the unit for $ 999.00 (the provider is SimpleSoft LLC).
Seems like a really good price for the unit but I've learned the hard way that some things are too good to be true. It says its a 2nd gen unit and it doesn't say used.
Has anyone had any experience with this company (SimpleSoft)?

i have 1st gen flyaudio, just wondering if the latest update cover have Celsius degree to air-con and 800x480 for gps
also just curious if 2gen the screen is brighter then 1st gen?
would like to see if its worth upgrading

The 06-08 have different center AC vents, if those on Amazon are for 06-08, they won't fit. I think the AC vent will not snap in place.
The price is very reasonable. Most problems of this unit have been solved. There are a few minor issues left.
I bought mine about a year ago and I love it.

i might have a 2nd gen and i have all of the updates done, and even saved the updates on my laptop if i ever need them or anyone else does. the update fixed my temp settings and flyaudio even sent me new harness that fixed the am/fm reception. all is good now, but i hate it when a call or the gps guidence comes on when i playing loud music because there is no voice setting to lower. IT'S JUST LIKE SOMEONE SCREAMING " TURN LEFT NOW" AND EXTREMELY LOUD. so i just sometimes turn off the voice, other than that its great for the amazon price of $999 if its true and legit. and if im not mistaken that is a 1st generation unit guys! , notice the pics in the amazon listing! my 2nd gen is totaly newer looking display and also check out flyaudio website too! notice the av-in tab on the lower right side, my 2nd gen has the word "card" there. i may be mistaken but i think its a 1st gen on amazon.

so i checked images for comparison purposes. the 1ist and 2nd gen units do not have the clock or the 3 buttons for the clock settings. the only visual difference i can see is that 1st gen has av-in tab ( where sd card goes in behind) and 2nd gen has the word " card " on the tab ( wher sd card goes in). i was told by flyaudio when i ordered it that it is a 2nd gen unit, funny how i had to update it though myself and get the new harness too. one would think for $999 it may be a 1st gen unit, for those of u who ordered it from amazon lets hope its a 2nd gen like the listing says.

It looks like the sale is over because the price on it now is $1999.99. I remember that carlighttrends.com had a group buy when he got the 2nd gen and the price was something crazy like $1350 with free shipping, and free iGo Primo software. I just plugged in coupon code "SUPERFLY" and its still active! I got mine, but if your looking for a 2nd gen that we know its legit and a real 2nd gen and from someone that has been a vendor here and FlyAudio Florida Sales Rep I'd go over the carlighttrends.com and check them out. David has always been a great vendor here on CL
