Any firmware updates since the release? I've been waiting patiently to see some of the new features like the new iPod and Phone interfaces.

I agree, it seems like we don't have access to play any video unless it's a DVD or one of the flashcard or flashdrive things. Audio will play fine as mentioned, but the video signal are getting blocked. I hope the flyaudio techs fix this feature bc I find the iPod interface fairly unusable.

OK, I found the problem with the RCA AV input. Go to setup and turn off iPod and then go to the main manu and you will see the icon change from Ipod to Aux. Hope that help.

None since the 1st one. I haven't heard when the next one is coming, but I will certainly let everyone know when I hear.

You can play video thru the RCA cables, just switch the setting for the iPod to "off" like MotoX said. I have connected a camcorder and tested it out. Has anyone tested a PS3 or other video system?

If anyone has any questions, I am happy to help, just give me a call at 714-720-2797.

Thanks!

I agree, video through RCA jacks work great, but video streaming though the ipod is another story. I'm trying all my hot rod tricks, but i'm thinking so far the only way to potentially get video to work on the screen is to buy an ipod cable that goes to RCA and hook it up through the RCA jack and not turn on the ipod settings under the setup menu. That's a little insane though

And please, for the love of mercy, please stress to the FlyAudio headquarters to please turn back on the EQ and outputs for Front/Rear/and Sub channels! it is such an easy fix.

Thanks for the feedback Mark. I spoke with Victor at FlyAudio today and asked what the hold up was on getting some of these changes made. I guess their software engineer is having trouble getting an American visa to come over from China. He assured me that when the engineer does make it over here that the changes will happen quickly.

Thanks for all the feedback so far!

My buddy "successfully" has the TomTom maps running. I say successfully in quotes bc he's found a bug in the system (he's using the RAV4 FlyAudio, so it MIGHT be different on the Lexus models...I got the files and am going to try them this weekend). Everything works fine as long as you are pressing buttons, but after the GPS being idle for over a minute, the TomTom freezes. If you run the FilemanCE.exe file, you can access WindowsCE mode. If you go into the control panel, you can switch the power settings to make the gps never shut off. This then fixes the problem until the unit reboots. Anyone else have a similar story for the TomTom or Garmin maps?

I'm running the iGo8, but am already wanting to start modding it. Has anyone started doing this yet? I'm thinking I want to change the Arrow to something else and add speed signs...possibly take off the large bar of stuff on the left. Ideas?

*bump* Any updates on the firmware? It's been a few months now... I'd really like to start seeing some of the issues and bugs addressed.

I have been pressuring FlyAudio to release updates, but none thus far. They are still waiting for an engineer from China to be granted a work visa so that he can come into the country and work. I recommend that everyone email victord at Flyaudio.us and with enough response, we can speed things up.

On a different note, we just received word that the FlyAudio E8039NAVI-2 does work with the 2010 IS 250/350. Great news!

I've had a similar issue. Make sure you download the igo8 software, then you HAVE to download these separate files: map(s), poi(s), and building(s) are a nice touch. The catch is, there is two types of files: Navteq (NT) and TeleAtlas (TA). Map/poi/building HAVE to be all of either NT or TA type. So in other words, you cannot download a NT map and then download poi and buildings in TA type. GPS Underground has some really good download sections. It can be confusing at times, but just do what I mentioned above and you'll be fine. It will be a lot easier if you get a Rapidshare account for 1 month for like $7 as well to speed up the download process. Try that out. Once you boot up (successfully) the iGO8 for the first time, you may need to go into the Settings of iGO8 and configure the GPS. Mine did not automatically "just work".

I'm also working on the Garmin Maps and finishing up the TomTom maps as well if anyone has anything to share. TomTom works great other than it cannot stay idle for more than a minute before freezing unless you change the power settings in the Windows CE control pannel.

I'm having issues unlocking the Garmin software even though I am using the suggested keygens, but still something isn't quite working.

let me know if anyone else is playing with this stuff.
