I just installed my flyaudio unit this weekend and let me tell you, the unit is excellent. I love the fact that my car now has bluetooth, navigation, and a better display (LCD).

So far, my only complaint about the flyaudio unit is that it doesn't allow you to save contacts. Of course, adding an option for saving contacts could be really easy to do but flyaudio is no longer going to update its unit and no one knows how the code works .

Other than that, I think that flyaudio is an excellent option for people without navigation. You simply can't beat the OEM look and price for this unit.

The male USB connector is for connecting to a laptop for loading firmware updates.

Which USB connection are you using? The one in the far or the one that comes with the FlyAudio unit?

Watch this video - is this how you're trying to access the USB? the system will only see certain types of files depending on which mode you're in, if I recall correctly. Sorry, I don't have my car right now to test...
