i thought this was normal? i would hear the lights and dash light up then the engine will sound turning on? think its normal cars three years old as well almostt.. or am i not getting your topic? lol

don't mean to be off topic but has anyone experienced a constanttt engine crank trying to start the car but it wouldn't even start at all. it's weird. but when it stops and i try again it starts normally. it's only happened a couple times

I'm thinking it's normal, goes through it's little self-check routine first before starting.

My IS350 is 2007. Gauges do the full sweep thing during pre-flight check.

Could be any of the following if it's either cranking slowly or cranking for awhile before "catching":

1. Low battery
2. Fouled plug(s) and/or plug wire(s)
3. Alternator

If you're under warranty, it would be worth a trip to the dealer to get it fixed for free.
