Curiosity about turning off headlights

Hey guys, just a quick question.
Has anyone ever forgotten to turn off their headlights on the IX50 while shutting the car off and locking the door?
If so, will the car automatically turn them off? Or will it stay on? The headlights is switched on non-auto mode.
I'm just asking because there are several instances where i accidently forgot to turn them off. The car doesn't make any beeping noises when the lights are on and car is shut off (which my rsx did so it was easy to tell they were on ) to notify u that they're on .
Any thoughts?

You can have it adjusted as part of your Lexus Personalized Settings. There's like 13 different settings that only the dealer can change. Attached is the standard LPS settings sheet. The expanded 7 page adjustment specs posted by skyocus below might be foreign to many dealers, but they will know these ones. They will change the settings once for you for no charge.

If you ask the dealer, they will give it to you. They will change the settings once for you for no charge.

LPS settings aside, the direct answer to your question is that you cannot leave your lights on unless you physically turn them to on after you turn off the car, or crawl out the passenger side. If the lights are on (in Parking lites, ON or AUTO), you turn off the car and open the driver's door, the lights will automatically turn off (either immediately upon opening the door, or 30, 60 or 90 seconds after opening, depending on your LPS setting--30 is the std setting).
That's why it doesn't bing--the lights WILL shut off themselves.
