Default Wear-out of the central part of the rear tire!

What can cause such a big wear-out of the central part of the rear tire (245/40/R18)?

The pressure is normal - 2.6 bar.

2.6Bar is about 38psi..that isn't OVERLY high enough to create that kind of wear..but it is a bit high. Try to keep it around 2.2-2.4 to compensate for some pressure increase due to heat..

Over inflation can cause that wear pattern, but I'd say you either had overinflated tires for quite a while, or you were doing burnouts on them while they were overinflated.

Here's a good guide for this sort of thing: http://www.procarcare.com/includes/c...dtirewear.html

38PSI is not high at all. I usually run 40 PSI on my car with stretch tire. No problem so far except I have a inner camber tread wear

The "Chalk Line Test": Draw a heavy chalk line across al the trear faces. drive slowly forward in a straight line for a few revolutions of the tire. Get out and observe the wear pattern of the chalk. If it has worn away evenly, then the inflation is correct. If either the edge or center of the line is worn first, then the tire is under or over inflated, respectively.
