sometimes out of no where the center console gives out a "crack" sound, its very odd. When I'm driving or listening to my music I hear the sound and I'm thinking okay...

I get it too. It seems to happen more when the dash is hot and the a/c is full blast.

Its the lackluster design of the center console plastic. I notice it when my knee bumps the side of the console by the ashtray. Makes me wonder how they could pay so much attention to detail on the rest of the interior and neglect that.

I got my car in September, and I've been hearing it crack ever since. I don't even need to touch the console, it just snaps and cracks out of nowhere regardless if the car is moving or not. I've searched the forums and haven't seen any major problems with this, so I just ignore it.

I thought it was just me experiencing this issue. I get it too. It can be pretty loud sometimes.

I'm getting a little cracking/crunching noise over uneven roads now that it's cold out. I can reproduce it by just pressing on the dash right above the instrument cluster. Just slightly irritating-- will probably have the dealer look at it next oil change, unless there's a DIY out there.

Is it when you make a hard turn to the right by any chance? I get a loud crack right by the gear shifter area when I go into a right turn sometimes. Dealer heard it, tore the car apart but havent been able to figure it out yet. Sounds like someone is under the car tapping it with a hammer once. Pissing me off!!

yeah, everyone with our car has that. it's been talked about ad nauseum.

take it to your dealer, the best thing they can do is put in felt padding into your dash. it helps a lot but it doesn't get rid of it completely.

Yeah, its not too bad just annoying when I have passengers in the car. Its embarrasing when its quite and im driving and all of a sudden "cracK", passenger asks "is it breaking?"

I have the same issue. It usually occurs after the car has been parked for a few hours. It usually goes away after 30 minutes or so.

I get it too but I just got used to it, and it only happens once in a while. So it's not bad at all.
