speaking of lambo doors, there's one here my neighbors friend....chrysler 300C lambo door...looks f---ugly!!! he thinks he's cool, he even smiled at me...hahahha lame...happened today too...

it was a fad that was meant to die out. people have tried it on the most interesting selection of cars (saw the civic pic....ouch), and i dont see people wanting to mod their cars to be the butt of other people's jokes. although i applaud those who wanna modify their rides, the lambo doors just dont do it for many's eyes anymore, i think.

just to clarify, the reason why they're caled "lambo doors" is because we see them more often on lamborghini's.

however, they're actually called "scissor doors," because the opening/closing motion of the door resembles that of a scissor. the McLaren F1 and the Ferrari Enzo have a variation of them (butterfly doors), so does the Mercedes Benz SLR. so it's not just a fad, it's commonplace amongst exotics.

so why do exotic car makers use scissor doors instead of regular doors? might be aesthetics, to set them apart from the mass-produced vehicles? or is it because of engineering - that the doors are made of space-age lightweight materials such that they can use a smaller rotating mechanism instead of hinges? or because these exotics are so wide, and that their doors are slightly longer, that side-opening doors would be a door dinging waiting to happen?

regardless, there's a reason why scissor/butterfly doors are on exotics - see above - and not on mass-produced vehicles.

also, calling them "lambo" doors is a bit of a misnomer.

Don't know why its referred to as Rice. Big *** useless mufflers are Rice, but Lambo doors, I would probably categorize it under the Bean category.

Funny stuff. But as stated in the previous post, i am not doing it. Instead i am going to take over the counter pay cans and spray flames into the car instead.

Just completely kidding on that. when i am not so tired ill post some pics. still waiting on the Takeda intake, red-outs and i think that is it till they get those headers done. Oh an tint.
