Fog Lights- Which color? HID 3k or 6k

Very interesting... you call cars with yellow fogs 'look retarded' and not 'grown up', then you say you hope you didn't 'offend anyone'. I tell you what, i'm sure many here will agree with me when i say... post up a pic of your car, lets see your 'bona fides'. You did afterall call a large portion of cars here retarded and if you're gonna do that you must have game right?

All I was trying to say is that I prefer the 6k. I do understand the heritage and history of the 3k, but the yellow's just not my cup of tea. I really think the yellow fogs ruin the luxury look of the 2IS. However, if thats what you like...great, buy it. It's just my personal opinion that buying a 40 plus thousand dollar car and putting the same yellow fog lights that you see on riced out hatch backs...looks retarded. I guess I just prefer the clean, grown up look of the 6k at the end of the day over the 3k. Again, its all about personal preference and I hope I didn't offend anyone.

assuming the color is consistent (color temperature will slightly vary by bulb/kit), they should look about the same.
however, compared to the oem HID lens and reflectors (if that's what they're called, as i don't know their technical terms), the reflection and dispersion pattern of the fog light units are obviously different. as such, they might seem "brighter". that seems to be the case for my HID retrofit fogs.

again, people run 3000k not for color but for maximum light output, but unfortunately 3000k is also yellowish in color. true automotive enthusiasts and/or lighting gurus would be able able to tell you that, and even i alluded to that in my earlier post.
btw, if you truly understood the heritage and history of "3000k" (actually, more like the science of automotive lighting), you wouldn't think it's "retarded".
