Can/has it been done? I got rear ended on the freeway about a month ago and would like to turn lemons into lemonade by somehow modding my rear bumper instead of just repairing it. Are there any other options for changing up the rear bumper? The Element 114 rear has been discontinued, and I'm not crazy about the IS-F. Thanks!

It will fit.. but the exhaust cut out will be weird unless you get the IS-F quad tips.

It will be fine 09/06-08 is basically identical. Everything will work out fine

09 bumper isn't much different from the 06-08 in the rear. Just the little black part in the center is a little different. Honestly till this day I still haven't noticed the difference, I just know its different.

I actually like the '06-'08 front bumper better. The updated one is a little too "safe" for me. I kind of like the angled air dam. But to each their own.

The difference between the rear bumpers is indeed extremely subtle - I think the main thing is that on the new one has a line goes across the bottom of the rear reflectors connecting to the two. It looks like a little bit cleaner to me than the old one, almost like a body kit.
