Apart from the stock amp having considerably less power than the one the ML sub is designed to be hooked to, all the ML speakers are 8 ohm (vs 4 ohm for the non-ML ones)

Just get an aftermarket one.

okay, so going back to the subwoofer system, would it sound crazy just to get a separate amp to the ml sub? also im not in the market for an enclosed box woofer. I have been looking at pioneer free air woofers.

hmmmm true. Also there is creaking plasticy noise coming from the passenger side door in the interior when the volume or bass is high pitch. Its honestly driving me nuts, you guys think lexus will fix it under the warranty?

i can't remember but a new ML sub costs around 300 bucks. I think you can get a better sub than the ML sub for that much money

yea i can get it for 250, but i just don't feel like retorfitting the ring for a tiny bit bigger free woofer that would be aftermarket.
