Don't think they will cover that but you can try worst that will happen is they will say no. i wouldn't worry about changing your fog lights.

first off, when did you purchase the car? secondly, are you sure it wasn't just the bulb that went out? of if it was the ballast entirely?

fog lights should have nothing to do with your the low beams, and they can't reject repairs if you have yellow bulbs in your fog light housings.

however, imo the only way rain will mess up your 2is lighting system is if it was altered or modified in any way - including faulty equipment installation - and moisture some how got into the housing and short-circuited something. if that's the case, you're on your own on that one.

if these are oem headlights that came with the car, the dealer will fix it under warranty. don't worry about your fogs.

if there's moisture inside the headlight housings, either the headlight housing seal is coming apart, or moisture got through the D4S bulb hatch.

but since you didn't touch your headlights or access your D4S bulbs (or so you say), this should qualify as a warranty repair - assuming that your warranty is still in effect.

the color of your fog lights have nothing to do with moisture getting into the headlight housing.

however, they won't clean out the water in your fog light housings, since it's obvious you "altered" the fog lights by swapping bulbs. THAT, you're on your own.

learn how to write and describe things, then we can help you better.

if your fogs have condensation in them, then yes, change the bulbs back to normal. they'll take care of that under warranty (assuming you didn't damage anything).

i wouldn't take a chance with that. they could blame him for not installing the bulbs correctly and thus voiding the warranty for the fogs.

HIDs are a pain in the *** to get replaced.

$300-$400 for the BULB if it's that. $1500 for the controller for the HID. You have one on each HID. Sucks right?

Smack the headlight a couple times. If it comes back on it's the bulb. If not, most likely it's the controller. My GS300's controller went out over the weekend because of the rain. Water collected or something, it's just poorly designed.
