Spoiler

So thought I was just goin to be able to go to a body shop and have them drill the holes for the spoiler and give em like 20 bucks. But nope not that easy says they have to repaint the whole deck lid... so that the untreated metal won't rust... told me 250 wow that's more than the spoiler. Wish this spoiler wasn't a special order I would just go get my money back. Anyone who added the spoiler after they bought the car just used double sided tape that came with the spoiler?

If your buying an OEM spoiler from the dealer, they come pre-painted so you can simply install it, either the correct way(drill into the trunk) or the easy/reversable way( double stick tape).
The price from sewell is 199 before any discounts. It should be a tad less than $250 though...

Sewell is a dealer to so if u got to ur local dealer and tell them u wanna buy it for 200 like sewell is selling it for I'm sure they will drop the price for it... I want to double side tape it to just not sure if I want to cut the screw/bolts that is embeded into the back of the spoiler... it kinda hard to explain...

Yeah, to me its easier and cheaper to use double sided tape.

Anyone wanting to get the OEM spoiler installed. I ordered mine painted off Ebay for $109 then I just go to Maaco! Its only $70 and they will prime and drill the holes and install a painted spoiler in less than an hour.
Both ISX50's Ive owned thats what I did and its perfect both times!

why not go for the is-f spoiler...imo it looks better than the gfx one, and its more unique to boot...no drilling required, just cut the studs off, then use silicone epoxy to stick it to the trunk lid...i've gone as fast as 210km/h (dont know what that is in miles) and no issues whatsoever
