I could care less for Bambi. One of my car's got totaled because of a deer when I was on the NJ Turnpike. I've never seen so much deer roadkill until I drove to the Poconos in PA. They were dead animals all over the road during mating season in November. "F" them deers!!

Glad you were okay OP!

I enjoyed your dry humorous narrative

"I just killed bambi- yikes"

Now for the generic comments you've been waiting for - "It was bound to happen" "Hope your car gets fixed up all right" "As long as you're okay" "that totally sucks"

Mike, I just finished the bulk of it. Just have to pass a pharmacy competency exam tomorrow in class (open book) before they'll let me go on rotations. *thumbs up

Adding to my original post , I love the title of the thread. Priceless

I used to do body work and i have seen my share of people running over deers. We used to run the car through a car wash first then address the problems. Insurance will pay. Good luck and glad to see you're okay.

Wished you had run over a member of Taliban, Bambi did not deserve to die, oh well, here in VA we average 10 hits a day, too many deer, not enough hunters. Good Luck !

at least it's better than this (click for gruesome pics)
deer guts
or this
deer vs durang
or this
coyote vs stock car

My friend said that on Myth Busters on the Discovery Channel that had one episode trying to figure out whether it was better to slow down to try and avoid the deer or speed into it. I think both choices had their ups and downs.

Good thing you were OK since it could've been worse.

My friend who was in the army camp in KS said that him and his friend used to build a front bumper that has 2 sharp big rods in the front, so when they hit the deer, they just bag the deer real clean. Then him and his buddies had a nice barbeque. I wonder if that can be done on the IS front bumper. Some types of aggressive body kit?
