Default Rim Powder Coating

Hey all,

I've been thinking about powder coating the rims on my IS. I got a quote for $115 a rim with mounting and balancing. Is this a good price and do people recommend doing this?
I really do not have much knowledge on the subject but it's much cheaper than getting new rims.
Thanx!
Happy holidays!

Yeah that's a decent price, but have you seen samples of this company's work?

What's the warranty on their service?

my friend got his Evo done at this place. It's been around since 1979 and they seem to be reputable. Their warranty is for 90 days I believe.

$200 for all four rims in black seems very cheap. I more or less thought anything under $400 for everything would be a good price. Shame I don't live in CA.

I'm also leaning towards getting something in the charcoal color as my car is the granite mica color.

Sorry, should've probably mentioned that they are the stock rims on the IS 250 AWD (17").

The rims look great Robjo. Glad you got it for that price. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anybody else reputable here that can beat $460 for it. Not fully sure why but oh well.
I too am curious to know if there are any cons to the powder coating? Also, any special cleaning instructions I should know about before I do this?
Thanx.
