This will be my first DIY mod! Hopefully, it'll all turn out well. I'm not nit picky about the minor exposure of the wood trim so I'll be happy as long as I don't cause any major damage to anything.

Good Job Looks nice. But i think im gunna go buy the carbon fiber cloth and do it with that! i like the aerotech alot but from what ive heard and read its not perfect for anyone.

I'm doing mine today. After popping out the brown plastic that is melted to the chrome shift plate, how does it hold back down later on reassembly?

^^Once you pop off those tabs holding the chrome piece in place can they snap back? If they can't snap back in place how do you refasten the chrome piece?

No one replied to me but what i did was I popped off the brown tabs. Have to, other wise you can't remove the chrome trim. But it stays on because the carbon fiber wrap makes it snug enough where it won't come out, unless you push the chrome trim hard. So just pop them off, only way. Or you can super glue it back on if it won't hold.

Glue, super glue, Well-Bond, silicone, or if you're brave enough, a plastic weld.
