Black Emblems
Decided to take on a little project this weekend...blacked out emblems!
Took them off and sanded them a little bit with 120 grit to knock the shine off of the chrome. Then applied two coats of duplicolor black followed by two coats of clearcoat.
Used 3M double sided molding tape to reapply the emblems.
And here they are back on the car. Let me know what you guys think.

I did the same process on mine. It's pretty simple and looks great but the front grille and emblem chip from rocks really really easily. Expect to re-do it every so often if you drive on the highway at all. :-/

on black it jus looks too blended in with the whole car ...so it looks like ehhh...
trust me on a black car.. u need a LITTLE bit of chrome... at least the "L" with black grill surround that would loook the best imo

I am planning on getting my grille and emblems painted soon but haven't decided whether to do them gloss or matte black.
