Hey CL,
Ive been trying to figure out how to fix this little issue for the last 5 days or so and i have been unsuccessful. I recently got a system installed and the bass from my 12" sub keeps moving the rear view mirror. IS there a way to make the rearview mirror tighter and less likely to be moved easily? Its really annoying and is also a safety hazard. I do admit that the mirror does bounce up and down a little bit when music is being played, but i would rather have it being bounced up and down a bit, than having it completly move down so i cant see traffic behind me. I constantly gotta keep resetting my rear view.
So far my only solution is to listen to music with less bass, but thats no fun. defeats the purpose of getting a system.![Crying](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/Peace.gif)
Any help would be much appreciated!
Any suggestions CL?
THANKS!

Wow that is no good.
I only have the problem of mirror vibrations, but that's not really the biggest issue for me.
The biggest safety issue for me i I have the maximum allowable tint and I find it's difficult to see cars in my rear and side view mirrors at night.
I also think the rear "pillar" makes it somewhat difficult to clearly check the blind spot in this car.

I get mirror vibrations and thats not a big problem. I feel you with the tint, mines not the darkest shade though. I kinda regret having my back window tinted, but in the summer i don't becuase my car doesn't get as hot.
When i play music i don't no why the mirror goes down by itself. Its really annoying. I wish there was a screw to just tighten into place.

There is a ton of info in this site for the vibrating mirror issue. Do a quick search and you'll see there is a TSB. Not sure if having an aftermarket audio set up will affect what a dealer does for you or not, but it's a start.

No its fine when i drive with the music at a very low level. The only time it falls completely loud is when i turn the music up. The Bass knocks down the mirror. I was reading up a TSB becuase of the sunroof causing the rv mirror vibrations. Should i call up lexus and see if they can replace it with a new mirror. My cars still under warranty, its a 2009. I just want a firmer mirror thats not gonna fall downard on me when im on the freeway listing to my music.
