The overlay kit they have on here buy aerotect is a sticker that has the fabric on it isnt it? its fabric with a sticky back to it.. so thats like both kinds you guys are talking about combined into one.

maybe i read it wrong?

Nope, let's be clear:

Neffy Wrap is what people are referring to as the "fabric". It has no adhesive, and is pretty much some sort of fabric.

The vinyl sticker stuff is the 3M DiNoc. While it has a weaved pattern, it is certainly not a fabric.....it's just some molded pattern into the vinyl, the back side is sticky.

those are the only 2 things being discussed here except for real carbon fiber fabric which nobody (to my knowledge) has used on the interior trim.

The Neffy Wrap is a fabric that requires adhesive to install (We do not carry this product).

We do carry 3M Dinoc which is not exactly a sticker... It is an 8 mil thick vinyl with a textured weave in the vinyl. This product has a pressure sensitive adhesive backing with an air regress system - Which really sets is apart from a sticker. Other carbon fiber films are often a printed graphic on to a thin vinyl.

3M™ DI-NOC™ is a high-end vinyl from 3M™ from their Architectural Finishes series. The vinyl can be installed on all sorts of surfaces, regardless of the curvature. This means there are an unlimited amount of applications, from the roof of your car to the back of your laptop.

You will see 3M DI-NOC vinyls installed in many architectural settings (often their wood finishes, etc.), in restaurants, offices, and even in World Class hotels and casinos.

As far as durability, 3M Dinoc is quite durable and scratch resistant.

You can see more on our website regarding the 3M Dinoc Carbon Fiber here:
http://aerotect.net/Carbon-Fiber.html

Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion on the products.

^ So this leads me to think 3M DI-NOC is the better product. Any advantages Neffy Wrap has over 3M?

the only advantage Neffy has is that it feels soft like fabric, its great if u want to wrap ur interior trim with it, i use both in my car, Neffy on the trim, and Di-Noc on the steering wheel, IMO, Di-Noc is better because its mess free and u can shape it around any surface

I don't see how you would get the fabric to fit well around the shifter chrome trim. Even the 3M film is too thick to wrap into this area and then re-install the chrome trim. I did a hand wrap with the 3M to make sure everything was perfect. It takes some patience and skill with an X-acto, but everyone thinks it's OEM.

I had my pillars wrapped about a month ago with the CF vinyl from 3M. It actually sticks pretty good but it does scratch easy, I have a scratch on one side already. But overall it looks really nice and has a weave texture/feel to it

Did you do that yourself? Looks pretty good! Did you take the pieces off to wrap behind so that the edge won't peel off?

My friend actually did it for me a his shop. We didn't take it apart because it wasn't neccassary, there's no peeling at all.
