I have had my Matador Red IS250 for less than 6 months and it has been partially repainted twice.
The day I bought the car there was a set of scratches on the trunk lid, took the car back to the dealer the next week and they buffed em out. When they did the wash before I picked it up one of the guys dropped the wash cloth on the pavement, picked it up and proceeded to drag pebbles across my driver's side fender. Cut to the metal. I had them repaint the fender, hood, bumper and door feathering it all to make it match.
3 Months later I was rear-ended requiring about $7,000 worth of repairs. Repainted the whole rear and feather to the rear doors. Paint looks perfect.
For what it's worth, the place that did the work and paint both times is a body shop owned by the same guy that owns the Lexus dealership. One of the best body shops in the area and specializes in Lexus and Cadillac work.
