Tried a search, but im having a hard time trying to see what some aftermarket, yet aggressive, 18 inch wheels would look like on my 250.

I like how my car sits with my stock 18s but it seems like everyone always upgrades to a 19 inch wheel.

Is this a bad idea CL? Would I be flammed?

Most people increase the diameter because they like the appearance. If you prefer the look of an 18in wheel, then you're in that same boat. As to it being a 'bad' idea, it isn't...after all, you do like the stock look, and it serves its function very well. Find what you like and go with it.
