Default IS Seat Uncomfortable!

Does Lexus have a fix for this? I know someone with a LS460 with the same problem and they got work done on their seats by Lexus to make them more comfortable under warranty.

It helps if you describe specifically what the problem is.

Most issues with uncomfortable seats are usually solved by adjusting to sitting ergonomically, rather than how one used to sit in another vehicle.

Agreed, there are plenty of adjustments to be made.

i think the seats in the IS are pretty comfy. comfy with enough bolsters from sliding around.

i think some people recommended tilting the seat so that the front of the seat pooints more towards the sky and away from the ground.

I think the IS is one of the more comfortable cars I've been in, opposed to my wrx where I had to take a break on the side of the road because the back pain was killing me.

Agreed... Just need to find the right spot. For me, I like the seat a little lower, furtherback, and a little tilted. Feels great!

And for the 3 series, I definitely agree... My friend's 335i's seats kill me lol.

test driving both the c350 and the bmw 328i, my cousin found that neither were very friendly. she commutes heavily from the greater san bernardino area to los angeles for work, and she wanted a nice ride with great seating. the IS seats were definitely fitting both the ergonomic style she was looking for as well as the soft plushy feel as if she were sitting on the sofa.

the seats are pretty good. The only gripe I have with the seats are the fact that the seat area is too short. I have long quads I guess.

IMO I think the IS have some pretty soft seats, comparing to my 335 which was terrible (in terms of leather quality).

Lexus have the most comfortable seats, i took a ride in m3 from san francisco to L.A, the seat hurt my back so badly, i couldn't stand straight for a while. while the 2is seats are so comfortable, i feel like falling asleep everytime sitting in a 2is.

I'd have to disagree with you I mean i cant say that everyone has to feel comfortable in bmw's seat, but for me its day and night; i find their seats more comfortable than ours. It's just my opinion

Wow.... i have had a 2006 M3 and drove my partners M6 regularly and those are the only seat that i have driven that compare to the comfort of the Lexus. Driven: Lotus Elise, Benz, Beamer, Porsche. Those are the only high line cars.
