Point being it's what suits you best. If you're in need for HP then get a 350, if you want to be economic on your long commute get a 250 (now for all that say it's a negligible difference) I do 380-400 miles to the tank 25% city 75% highway. Say what you may but what it costs to drive roughly about 25,000 on a 350 I can push close to 50,000 on a 250 just a thought I've driven my friends 350 for a very long distance and let me tell you something, that needle drops quick! Especially if you're going over 65. Witch btw on my slow 250 I can pull off 80 and still get over 32mpg on an over 200 mile drive.

I really don't care to hear what anyone has to say in regards to my post I have the miles to back my statement. Also I've never had a problem merging lanes or any of that nonsense, seriously you all make it sound like we're merging onto the Autobahn.

I love both models, but the truth is the truth

Goodnight
Funny you should mention the autobahn. I'm stationed in Germany and I have an IS250 AWD and I'm sure I'm merging on the autobahn faster than 99.9% of you are on the highway. And never once have had a problem. And the average Joe on the autobahn is doing 80-100MPH atleast. And they don't even make the IS350 in Europe, so I think that kinda speaks for itself as far as the merging onto the highway lol. I mean a Lexus is a Lexus. I'd take my close to fully loaded AWD IS250 any day over a base model IS350. I'm more into the technical advances aspect of the car not the engine HP rating. But anyway I say try and get all the options you want in which ever one you decide, just make sure you do what your budget can handle

It is you DD and you have to test drive both so that you won't have regret later.

I test drove 250 and 350, went for 350.

F it, just get the 350. Even with 306hp it still drives like a regular car, hell under normal driving speeds it'll drive just like a 250 but when you need the power ie. merging, switching lanes, quick left turns it'll just be flat out easy with the 350. As for getting one for 24k w/ higher milage make sure to get a ppi to be sure everything is mechanically sound, its a toyota the thing will last 250k easily if you intend to keep it that long.

Whatever do you do don't opt for the AWD 250, that thing is plain ugly in stock form. Small wheels on a lifted 4x4 suspension is not a good look for a small car. 85% of the 2IS's I see are the awd 250s. If you get the 250 make sure its rwd, the 18" and the slightly lower suspension makes it look 5x better and sleeker.

Just my opinion.

I think this statement says it all for IS250 merging lanes onto a highway.
Nice to know that it's capable of doing so in even the fastest highway in the world

I've driven both cars and I can honestly say as a track racing enthusiast and driver I have no complaints about the IS250 in both speed and performance.
