i dont think its a rubbing issue for mgdrwl or he woulda mentioned offsets, its a performance one meaning, will the bead hold on a bigger rim when launching at the track.

go for 225/35 for the 9" if you want the moderate stretch look....and 245/35 for the 10" for them to look more "equal"

thanks for the input. i was running a 225/35 on a 9" and for me its a bit too much of a stretch, thats why I'm going 235 instead, a stretch, but not a wild one....

just trying to figure out what will 'look' closest to the 235 for the rear.... 255/10" vs. 285/11"

Acutally i would think Falkens452 would have a better stretched with a 265/30. Do you want to have your lips naked or do you want to show more meat?? Damn you know its going to required alot of fender shaving and pulling if thats possible. Let us how it turns out, cause im thinking about going that route oneday.. GL

285/30 on an 11" should be good. I wouldn't run a 35 series tire because that higher profile might cause problems. If you want to ride around slammed/lowww then u will need all the clearance possible.

Also, the rolling diameters are pretty close which is great. BUT like someone said, get ready to grind down that rear quarter panel to like the edge. Being aggressive isn't easy!

Thinking again. I posted on the other thread but after reading this one I think a 275/30 or the 285/30 would be a good match compared to the 235/35 on a 9".

Just do the math. Not sure if I'm explaining it correctly but every 10 you go up in the width it's 1/2 wider in length. So the 9" in the front and an 11" is the rear is a 2" difference. 2" / 1/2" = 4 x 10 = 40. 235 + 40 = 275. So a 275/35 would be the "right" way to go if you want to match it up. Not sure how out of spec the tire would be according to the tire manufacture but I've seen people run all sorts of stuff and they ride fine. It's ok to step out of the "spec" range sometimes.

I wanna say most people put all of these parts on their car but don't really race or anything. It's simply to look pretty. I'll admit, I'm the same way.

Edit* the 255/35 on a 10" seems to fit as well. BUT I like something new... Extreme!

Hey ek9vboi, im running a 20x10.5 +38 for the rears with a 4"inch lip rite now(Hella aggressive with shaved fenders). Im thinking about changing it with some new tires, any suggestions that would still give me the stretch i have rite now with the Falkens452 255/30/20's with some better tires?

Falken tires are pretty cheap and have a very rounded sidewall which is perfect for stretching. Only other tire I can think of that people like would be pirelli pzero neros. Sidewalls are rounded, good grip and very quiet. Expect to spend some money. Nitto Invos are good from what I've heard with traction and sidewall.

Other tire brands people love as well but their sidewalls are just too squared off.

The smaller the tire the more stretched look! I say 265/30/19 for the 19X11 to be safe at the lowest size

Will there be enough clearance so the rim doesn't touch the struts?

You can run 265/35 or 255/35
