What looks like a better 'match' to you, I'm stuck between these two setups:

RIM 19x9 235/35/19 - tire height 25.5", tire tread width 8.3"
RIM 19x10 255/35/19 - tire height 26.0”, tire tread with 8.8”

or

RIM 19x9 235/35/19 - tire height 25.5", tire tread width 8.3"
RIM 19x11 285/30/19 - tire height 25.8", tire tread width 10.2"

Here are the tire options I have with the tire I chose (Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position)

265/30R19
275/30R19
275/35R19
285/30R19

Go w/ the 265's if you want that stretched look. The 275 will be a total noticeable beefier look..

on an 11" wide rim? It seems the 275/30 or 285/30 is more the choice, no?

Bridgestone doesn't recommend going wider then 10.00" wide for the 265/30. I'm looking to stretch to an 11

I'm leaning that way too... but Bridgestone says the 285/30/19 is only recommended for an 9-10.5 inch rim.... I'm looking to put it on an 11"

But the math says it actually FITS better! Weird.... more thoughts pls!

U could do 265-30 of u want a stretched look I have 265-30 on my car and its 10.5 wide in da rear and its def a stretched look. 285 is not going to give you a stretched look at all

im thinkin 285 for the rear 11 might be too fat. #1 because our IS dont really fit an 11 (with unknown offsets) so you need to do some kind of fender cut and some pull. Check out the G35 and 350z forums. Ive seen em put 255, 265, 275 on 11 rears so that it wont rub as much. Trust me I have an 11 rear and am running 275

The offset would be 41. It equals what I'm running now (19x9.5 +22) w/ a 245/35/19 rear tire. I'm trying for the same 'look', but in a larger size, namely 11".

I will disagree and say run the 285 in the rear on a 11" rear. But I also think a 285 or larger tire is too much for the IS in the rear.

here is a 295/25 on a 10.5" for reference.

Thanks all for the reply's, keep em' comming. Here's my thoughts so far, which are very open to critque.

RIM 19x9 235/35/19 - tire height 25.5", tire tread width 8.3"
RIM 19x10 255/35/19 - tire height 26.0”, tire tread with 8.8”
pros: the rear tire/rim is with-in the mfr specs (they say 10.0" rim is widest and is within mfr specs)
cons: rear tires are only 1/2" wider then fronts, but 1.0 full inch wider rim width (seems the rear will have a more stretched look)

or

RIM 19x9 235/35/19 - tire height 25.5", tire tread width 8.3"
RIM 19x11 285/30/19 - tire height 25.8", tire tread width 10.2"
pros: rear tire/wheel & front tire/wheel look to be more equal (both seem to be almost exactly 2 inches apart, which SEEEEEEMS like they will 'look' similar)
cons: rear rim/tire is out of mfr specs. bridgestone says widest their 285/30/19 should go on is a 10.5

you can put a 285 on a 11in rim easy, dont worry about it, the tires will work just fine on the street or track

no one said they wont work. I just think it might be too thick of a tire cause hes lowered and it might rub.
