I hope so, especially without costing a arm and leg

from a show/competition standpoint, this is a bad *** looking kit, definitely a head turner. But from a street standpoint, this I do not want.

looks sick, that is some serious fab work, props goes to all the work put into this car. i would love to see what power is coming out of it. this kit would be street worthy without the mass amount of fins and vents but since it is being used for drift i can understand why they are there.

all-in-all the thing looks sick, but the simply amazing when is was flat instead of glossy, thankyou rashoodz for posting the pics with the matte finish

I've heard a lot of things that turned out to be complete BS. It is not possible to run the ancillary systems of a 2IS without the 2IS ECM. So, if some manufacturer in Japan has a plug n' play ECM with the proper CAN and BEAN functionality to work with all the other ECMs, then it could be a fully featured daily driver. If they haven't, there's no way everything works. Just because someone is driving it around doesn't mean the a/c works (or a whole lot of other things actually work).

True, but there are work arounds. I speak from experanice.
You can leave the stock ECU/PCM inplace. Hook up all the required sensors then piggyback a standalone (haltech etc..) to the factory sensors in the aftermarket 2JZ. Recal in the Haltech. The Haltech will run the engine and the stock ECU will still run the rest of the car. With proper tuning and you can still pass state inspections in 1/2 the states in the US. I did this for three years on my old IS300. 622whp DD
Now that being said: the 2IS has some extra engine sensors that will not apply to the 2jz so that would be the issue as far as I can see.
