I got a 5-pack for like 9 bucks shipped.

One meter??? So, you have to put the key in your shoe and your phone in your hat?

batteries are cheap, just buy a new one and replace it. i havent even had my car for 2 years and i already went through 2 batteries. very simple to replace. remove your key from the fob and at the end of the key is a little flat part, that part fits into a small slot on the fab where you removed the key. you can pry the fob apart from there.

Heh, they're being grossly overconservative. As I said I just keep mine in opposite pockets and am well past 2 yrs on original battery already.

I'm not complaining about price of batteries or anything. Just saying that my Infiniti fob lasted a full 3 years without ever once needing replacement. I used that fob the same way I use this fob. Just surprising that it would deplete that quickly.

It is super easy to open. Just didn't want to break anything. I'll have to get some this week for the one that ran out.

My batt lasted 3 years and my wifes lasted 6 months more. I use mine everyday and my wife very rarely uses hers. I would think the life depends on how much you use it. You may be activating it when it is stored (In your pocket). I keep it mostly in a jacket or brief case.
