2006 GS430 or IS350 need advice
I didnt know it but flop flop may be my middle name.
I was wanting a GS for quite some time, and then started liking the is350
Help me with my options
2006 IS 350 Premium Nav chrome wheels 80k miles $18,000
or
2006 GS430 Nav 74k miles $21,500
Or tell both are horrible deals, I personally dont mind higher mileage on a Lexus to save some upfront money

The IS350 is vastly more powerful in acceleration than the GS 430, particularly from a dig. Also, as one would expect, it handles a lot more nimbly on the twisties, but of course the downside is that it's much smaller.
Personally, I'm 6'0" and I find the ISx50 to be "just right" in terms of being able to fit snugly/comfortably in the driver's seat.
I rarely drive people around, and when I do it's usually 3 a maximum (99% of the time women, who are obviously on average smaller/more petite than men).
If I had to drive around a bunch of dudes often in my car AND if I were say 6'4" or 6'5"+, I would highly consider getting another vehicle (not the ISx50) due to size constraints. That's just me though.

Definitley the GS. I've always thought of the GS as the "next one up" from the IS. Plust it's more rare, which is worth something.

Im in this same predicament. I really want a GS430 for the size, but I want the IS350 for the snappiness. It's going to end up coming down to what deals come along in the next few months.

I test drove the '06 GS430 before I bought my IS350, and much preferred the IS350. The GS felt bigger and less fun-to-drive. This was apparent as soon as I got off the highway and onto some back roads.
In the showroom, I preferred the GS, but after the test drive, it was no contest.

id go with the gs because of lower miles and more family based, but if the kids are young and thus they wont need much leg room, the is350 is a good deal. but im pretty sure you can find some newer MY is350's for about the same price with lower mileage, just as the gs. best of luck to you and your family!
