Wheel question~
Hi guys sorry for my noob question .. I have a 2009 awd Is250 and Im running on 17" wheels with TPMS. Im getting 18" wheels next month and another set of TPMS. Do you think the car sensor will recognize the Wheels TPMS When I change 17" to 18" or Do I have to go to dealership each time to set it up?
thx you guys

if you're swapping out the TPMS sensors from your 17" wheels to your 18" wheels, you will not have to go to the dealership to set it up.
however, if you're running a new set of TPMS sensors on the 18" wheels (not the old set from your 17" wheels), then yes, you will have to go to the dealership to get it programmed.
sounds like you're in the latter scenario.

Yep what everyone else said... but swappin them out is gonna be close to the same amount as gettin them programmed to ur car. Unless u can get the dealership to be nice to u and do it for free.

last time i swapped out my TPMS sensors into a new set of wheels it cost ~$100. ymmv.
the cost of new TPMS sensors and programming would cost a lot more than that.
something to consider if you don't already have that second set of TPMS sensors.

used TPMS sensors for the 2is should run no more than $300, if that amount at all (i'm being generous with my guess here). check the 2is and the wheels/tires classified sections to see if anyone from CL is selling a set.
