stopping the odometer??
I read a forum and some guy said he stopped his odometer on is250??? Is that even possible??

if the vsc sensor goes i know the odometer stops working

i don't know, but iirc odometer tampering is illegal in the state of california.

report him to your local authorities. Nobody wants to buy a 100,000 mile car thinking it's only 20,000 miles.

yeah. it is definitely illegal everywhere. or else you lease 5000 miles and drive 15000 miles without anyone knowing.

oh yeah. and i know it is possible. however, it requires taking apart the entire dash and unhooking it from something and it is complicated. i know someone who did it to a bmw x5.

funny thing is i went back on myis.com to find that forum and i think they deleted that forum hahaha busted!!!

its soooooo easy if you want to stop your odometer, take a nail punch, get a hammer and 'punch' the display, it'll stop working
... its not rocket science you know~

the mods probably removed it because its against forum rules. another car site im on is the same way when people ask about the vsc or govener.
