Almost here!!!!! Noob needs an opinion.
Hey guys, I was approved to finally buy my IS350.
How does this sound?
2006 IS350 Granite Grey
Cliff Notes:
2006 IS350
24K miles
ML
Navi
only thing it doesnt have is the sport package.
They are asking 25,999
I think I can get them down to 25K even.
Good or bad?
Thoughts?
I will do an introduction thread tonight, I just need to call the dealer and begin to haggle if it is a good deal............
Or I can get my hands on one that is an EXACT replica, but has 64K miles on it for 22,300? Is 64K miles a lot on an IS350?

With 64k, u have two years left before you have to do major maintenance 90-100k
I would get the 24k mile 06 model one if you can get it for 24.

Ok I just told the dealership that my bank would only go 24.5K.......lets see where this goes.
Im praying they go through it.
I am going to do an introduction thread now.
Thanks guys, if anyone has anymore thoughts, please.

definitely dont get the 64k miles one. though its the same year and it costs 3 grand less, it has too many miles for just an 06. instead, try to haggle down the first option down to 22-23k. but if they budge only to 24k, take it. you practically paid off the licensing fees and tax from just the haggling down. best of luck!

Other than a coolant change at 100k you wouldn't be doing anything special at that mileage besides brake fluid at 90k (that's done every 30k).
Honestly the most expensive visit is at 60k (or 120/180/etc)- that's brake fluid and spark plugs.
To the OP- CHECK THE IN SERVICE DATE.
If it's less than 4 years ago then it's still under factory warranty, and more important- you have the option to buy a Lexus extended warranty (there's a couple folks who sell them much cheaper than your local dealer likely does). That's certainly worth spending a bit more.
If it's past 4 years in service then, warranty-wise, it's not much better than the 64k model... and 64k miles isn't high at all for a car that has been in use for over 4 years.

Thats a really good deal on that car, considering that car now MSRPs at $40K+. Looks like it has every option imaginable. Any major accidents?? different shades of color on body panels?

What "major maintenance" do you think the car needs at 90-100k?

So I just talked to the dealership on the 64K one and I think I can get it for 21.5K. The lower mileage (24K miles) place isnt budging under 25.5K.
What do you think guys? What kind of problems will I have with the higher mileage one?
Oh and if I didnt say it already.....
THANK YOU!!! You guys rock!
I appreciate the support and helping me get into the Lexus family safely.
