If your car is showing swirls or the paint is just starting to look old, yes, a good detail will make a world of difference and can make an aging paint job look factory new again. Personally, I wouldn't trust my dealership to do it well....If your going to pay to have the car detailed, find a local detailer that does good work (i.e. good reviews). Or even better, browse the detailing section here on CL and get to work yourself, you'll love the outcome even more knowing it was your own labor of love
