Wet Sanding will remove the glue but use caution since will take paint as well. You will need to finish down with a compound and polish after the sanding.

^ use 1000 grit, depending how much glue there is. He used 2500 grit to detail mine which is REALLY fine. And as said use compound and polish afterwards with a buffing pad.
