Check VSC/Engine light - Too much air?

check vsc light
I 'm having the same problem with my IS 350. Apparently my gas cap wasn't tight. After tightening it the light remains on and it has been 4 days now. However dont notice any changes in the way it drives. Although I just put in an Injen intake but now also considering putting my stocks back on. I seem to notice most people I have talked has the same problems right after the warranty of 50,000 miles. I currently have 55000 + miles. I thought Lexus was suppose to be about luxury and reliability, not so sure now. But my Lexus GX470 has never had any problems......knock on wood.

Autozone in most states (except California) can test and reset your codes usually for nothing. The important thing is it find out what the code is.
If you're getting a code repeatedly, you should find out what the code is. If its from not putting on the gas cap tightly, you should be told about it.

Sounds like they don't reset in Louisiana either.
Seriously - they consider resetting the code a liability, but they'll sell you a scanner to let you reset the codes by yourself indefinitely? Somebody's lawyer isn't getting the whole story here.

its not b/c of intake for sure, this error comes into 2006/2007 models I use to have it in my previous IS.
Although I didn't have any mods by that time. fixed by the dealer.

Yeah I know...I thought it was very strange, but the autozone fella was VERY emphatic. I did have to buy a scanner to clear the lean codes I was getting.
