Default DRLs on at night?

Can someone please help me figure out why my drls automatically went on tonight with my low beams as well as my fogs? I always leave the switch set on auto but never had the drls also on at night. I tried turning the lights off as well as the car but when I turned it back on same thing. No luck so far. Any suggestions?

just want to make sure you are not talking about the parking light next to the DRL.

It looked like the drl. It was a faint light inbetween the low beams. But anyway why does this happen?

EVERY car has the parking lights on when the headlights are on.

I believe it's to show the width of the car to oncoming traffic when one headlight is out, just a common practice now on all cars.

i know they would look sick but ive yet to find decent LEDs that won't blow out, thats why im skeptical about changing them. I ordered led puddle lights from Vled, one burnt out within 2 weeks. ofcourse they took care of the problem, but its still just annoying and a hassle to deal with.

I read another reason the parking lights come on with the low beams is to fill out the other half of the headlight assembly. I got V-LED SMT 5K LEDs, matches the OEM HIDs pretty well. But my Garax 6000K bulbs just arrived so I'll have to swap them out again. :/

Haha so it was the parking lights? I replaced all of my headlights with white leds (Low beams and fogs are 6000k). In mid day the white led drls look so sick compared ot the nasty yellow ones.
