Wait i got led drls and when i turn my high beam switch on the lights still shoot up higher and brighter. Why does this happen if it supposedly renders the high beams useless? Just curious, not that i care...i pretty much never use the high beams anyway. My HID fogs along with the the matching lows light up the night just fine anyways.!

yes that's right, DRL turn off when low beams come on and vice versa. But you can still manually turn on the high beam and have it stay on by pushing the headlight stalk back, but fog lights turn off.

i don't know if this is true with halogen lowbeam, but if you have OEM HID, then yes, when you turn on your high beam, the HID lowbeam actually shoots up higher. i don't know if this is the feature Lexus calls 'bi-xenon headlights', but regardless, that's what happens.

and of course when you turn the high beam switch on, the LED DRLs will turn on and add to light output right in front of the car, but the light doesn't project forward with these LEDs we have, so for all practical purposes, it renders the high beams useless.

Really? Ill have to check tomorrow, im too lazy to go down to the garage and check. Ive got matching 6000k hid low beams aswell. But when i do use the high beam, it does shoot out further and lights up signs that are farther away. This will be my little test for tomorrow tonight i guess. Ill try to confirm everything and get a video of it all too.

Actually they don't come with a relay but a rectifier module so they don't
flicker when in DRL mode (half power). These run at the same brightness in
DRL and Highbeam mode. Everyone thats seen mine really like the look.

Something really funny, if not annoying, is that at VLEDs apparently they don't stock enough of their products. When nobody is talking about lighting mods all the LEDs are available which makes one come here and ask questions to see which ones to buy, and as soon as a recommendation is made, whaaaamm, out of stock.
