Carbon tinting needed for signal interference?
I was just quoted $220 for metallic and $300 for carbon tinting.
The guy at the stop told me that I should go for the carbon tinting because I have the antenna running through the rear windows and it won't interfere with the navigation system.
How valid is this claim? I would just wanna go with the metallic and save me some money.
Anyone actually had signal problem with their radio or navigation system due to tinting?
Thanks!

yea... if you are running a bunch of electronics or any type of GPS i recommend Carbon tinting. the metal in the regualr tint can mess with the signal. happened on my cts. that is why i now have Carbon. 300 is a bit steep though. 220 for carbon is what i paid. some places charge more because its a biatch to tint our cars

Search for my post on "My Tint Nightmare". Don't skimp on tint and do not get metallic tint under any circumstances. I still have not re-tinted my rear windshield since it replacement because I do not want to deal with that again.
