i dont get how you can complain about the hood. that is something you check out before you buy the car. they dont have to repaint that for you. that isn't a warranty issue. the windowscan be. but you look at the paint job and rims and search for dings on the car yourself. they aren't going to tell you.

I forgot to say, WELCOME and best of luck with the resolutions at the dealer.

A used car needs to be doubly inspected as it has seen action on the streets, and that has to be done before you sign on the dotted line and drive it home. The dealer is trying to make it right by repainting it; I'm not sure you should get a loaner for that. Paint is excluded from a CPO warranty.

I feel for your situation. But like a few others mentioned, "CPO" still means used car. There is almost always going to be some issues with a used car. The average person trading in a car returns it with some issues and the average dealership isn't going to do a whole lot extra to make sure there are no issues. As long as it's under warranty, work with them to get the issues hammered out and eventually you'll feel good about the car. Hang in there and welcome to the board!

Agreed, thorough insepction of any used car is mandatory.

Paint is part of the CPO checklist (160 points covered) and it should meet the criteria specified. Paint work agreed upon with the dealership to bring it up to standard is covered by the dealership.

My CPO 07 IS350 purchased in late 2008 had the hood repainted at dealership expense. I was provided with a free Lexus loaner car during the time the car was in the body shop (over a week).

It's been about a week, I hope the results were satisfactory.
